200 Hours, Yoga Alliance Approved with Vidya
Style
The style we teach is a joyful, creative and intelligent flow style which can be easily adapted to different levels and different tempos. At the end of the training you will not only be qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga but will also have the tools to create other styles of yoga class, such as more basic Hatha, prenatal and restorative yoga.
About The Training
This three week intensive Yoga Teacher Training is an exceptionally high quality, fully comprehensive profoundly life transforming retreat. It is passionately and skillfully led by either Vida Jacqueline Heisel or Jennifer Yarro. Vidya Jacqueline Heisel, E-RYT 500, the founder and director of the Frog Lotus Yoga International, who is a Master teacher with 35 years of Yoga teaching experience, a deep and experienced knowledge of Yogic philosophy and meditation, as well as an inspiring practitioner and gifted communicator. Jennifer Yarro, E-RYT 500, is a practitioner and teacher of AcroYoga, Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, Meridian Yoga, and Thai Yoga Massage.
Vidya has developed her own dynamic and compassionate style of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which, though at times vigorous, is always accessible and modifiable to the level of the student. Her classes are creative and fun and vibrantly unique. She intelligently weaves together her knowledge of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Forrest and Kundalini Yoga in a delightful and effective fusion.
Vidya has trained over 1000 teachers and led over 30 Yoga Teacher Training retreats around the world. She has studied for many years at ashrams in India, as well as with some of the best Yoga teachers in the West. Her life has been devoted to the study and practice of eastern philosophy, yoga and meditation and her ability to communicate this in a thorough, clear and interesting way is the very tangible result of her lifelong immersion.
Jennifer has studied internationally with many amazing teachers, but credits her teacher, mentor, and friend Vidya Jacqueline Heisel as her main influence in the growth of her Hatha/Vinyasa practice. Jennifer continues to be a student of several yogic traditions such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, svadhyaya or self-study, and others. Her most profound learnings come from her students to whom she is always grateful for the opportunity to share her gifts.
With her cumulative years of experience in teaching, anatomy, and meditation, Jennifer is currently passionate about training yoga teachers to lead practice that is safe and effective; honoring the traditional lineages while leaving space for their individual voice. Jennifer leads 200 and 500 hour trainings internationally throughout the year, is adjunct staff for other courses, and teaches at conferences and gatherings as she joyfully expands the Frog Lotus community!
The trainings are assisted by Jennilee Toner, E-RYT 200 who is an exceptionally experienced and talented Yoga teacher and Yoga Anatomist. Also on staff will be a carefully selected graduate of the program, whose job is to facilitate the retreat and serve and assist you in all ways so that you may have the best possible experience.
In this retreat your every need will be cared for, you will be very comfortable, your palate will be tantalized, and your expectations of the course will be far exceeded. You will leave the retreat inspired, transformed and fully-equipped and confident to teach great yoga classes.

I feel absolutely blessed to have had the opportunity to do my yoga teacher training with Vidya from Frog Lotus Yoga. I can't imagine there is anyone else with as much knowledge, passion and dedication than Vidya who shared her experience and expertise with us with such grace and in such detail.
The Yoga practice was incredibly inspirational and refreshing and each day she pulled something new out of the bag to challenge us. In short, the Frog Lotus Yoga teacher training retreats are nothing short of excellent and I will definitely do my 500 hour with Vidya... Can't wait and miss the practice immensely!

To any Yogi's that are considering partaking in a YTT, I would highly recommend the course in Costa Rica. The location was ideal, with the best yoga studio I have ever seen! Some of the benefits I felt from this well put together course were a deeper understanding about yoga and the yogic philosophy than I could have ever imagined, the most beautiful nature that I have ever laid eyes on and a lasting feeling of deeper peace. My biggest credits to Vidya who is one of the most knowledgeable teachers that I have ever met and an inspiring Yogi.
—Mandy Pelly, Renmark, South Australia
The experience at the Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica was beautiful and unforgettable, to say the least. There was a perfect balance between the challenge of learning new things, improving our own practice and giving us the confidence to teach. Thank you again Vidya for sharing with us your knowledge, experience and energy in such a clear, pleasant and professional way. All this combined with moments of recreation, fun and relaxation in an amazing natural setting and the spectacular collaboration of the wonderful hosts of Goddess Garden, plus their friendly and helpful team and staff. Every detail was thought of to perfection making every moment flow. It was a gateway to many positive changes in our lives. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it, for such gift!

Crickets chirping, monkeys howling, birds calling; what a perfect environment in which to practice yoga. When I signed up for the yoga teachers training in Costa Rica, I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful setting. Goddess Garden is an oasis in an already beautiful jungle. Walking along the beach at sunrise sets the mood for meditation. Whether in down dog or triangle pose, the sights & sounds of this paradise infiltrate your senses. This backdrop of beauty and peace made it possible to fully embrace the intensive nature of this Yoga Teacher Training, perfectly orchestrated by Vidya Heisel of Frog Lotus Yoga, her staff and the staff at Goddess Garden. I came away with so much more than a certification to teach yoga. I have a new appreciation for the history of yoga, a new respect for the practice, which is so much more than perfecting poses, and a desire to continue learning and growing on my own. Thank you Vidya and Goddess Garden!

The teacher training in Costa Rica with Frog Lotus is an experience not to be missed. It is a challenging three weeks no doubt but if you go with a sense of open-mindedness, the rewards are great. The training deepened my yoga practice immensely as well as helping me to look at the world with a kinder, gentler heart. The fellow trainees were brilliant, all compassionate and unique. Vidya has so much knowledge and experience that it was truly a fantastic opportunity to train with her.
Alysha Westlake, London, England
Vidya is a mature woman with a deep dedication to her practice and this is exemplified in every area of her life and training. Her practice is strong and at the same time she has a wonderful softness that teaches the middle path. She knows her yoga and brings creativity variety spontaneity and commitment to the training. She is intelligent, grounded, humble and has great depth and wisdom which she generously imparts. Transformation is inevitable if you’re open to learning. I learned on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
Vidya creates a warm, inspiring and knowledgable training where friendship and alumni is encouraged amongst the trainees, which shows her presence, strength compassion and personal dedication to living the eight limb path. Vidya’s knowledge of Iyengar Yoga gives her great awareness about alignment that is detailed throughout her flow training and personal practice which I loved, as it protects the physical body from injury. Vidya comes highly recommended by me for all of the above reasons, plus she is warm personable and professional.
The most important things I got out of the course were a deeper knowledge, intense training and a much improved practice. Most importantly I feel well equipped to start as a yoga teacher.
