To slow down and to share my yoga practice with anyone ready to sink into their body and breathe has been my goal since 2008 when I first became a Frog Lotus Yoga trained yoga instructor. I have studied various types of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, as well as Thai Yoga Massage. My inspiration for yoga is rooted in my childhood dance background. For 10+ years in my adolescent and young adult life, I found my rhythm and disciple of body movement through ballet and modern, and jazz and tap classes. To stay somewhat connected body movement, I continued as an adult with yoga as a physical practice and continue to work on additional aspects of a yogic lifestyle.
In addition to spending time on my yoga mat, there are occasions of yoga on the top of a mountain, in the river, or under the trees. My outdoor enthusiasm and passion for nature through outdoor activities such as hiking, bicycling, and rock climbing has heavily influenced my mind-body-spirit connection and practice of yoga. Being a firm advocate for the holistic benefits of yoga, I have incorporated the practice into my life by using my personal yoga practice to take breaks from academics and conservation work. I love keeping my practice playful but take it seriously and hope to see you on mat with me!
May you have peace in your heart, your mind, and the world around you. Om shanti shanti shanti ~ Peace Peace Peace
