Alicia Bargh's journey toward yoga began with years of dance classes as a child and teen. After two years of dance in college, she elected to follow her other passions of travel and international studies, but her love of movement and connection to her body drew her to try yoga.
After experimenting with several styles and studios, she took up a regular Vinyasa practice at YogaSource in Richmond, Virginia. Eventually, she was selected for their work trade program and used the opportunity to deepen her practice with daily classes. Her heart still overflows with love and gratitude to her teachers and friends there - shout out to Myra Dionosio, Tia Platte, Karen Hansen, and Ellie Gompert!
Inspired to share the contentment, strength, and joy that she found in yoga with others, Alicia taught several free classes at her local community center in Richmond before completing her 200 hr Teacher Training at Frog Lotus with Jennifer Yarro and Jenilee Toner in August 2010. Jennifer successfully kidnapped her (with help from the gorgeous Berkshires and awesome community at FLY) and she is now happily teaching and working for Frog Lotus.
Alicia infuses her classes with abundant energy and curiosity for the subtleties of alignment and the transformational potential of the human body. She loves sunny days, gluten-free pancakes, and attempting to surf.
